Elangeni TVET College proudly presents the official launch of the ETVET Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics Academy, a pioneering initiative aimed at advancing specialised aviation skills development within South Africa’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector.
The launch will signify a transformative milestone in occupational education, bringing together industry, government, and skills development partners to expand access to high-demand aviation maintenance training opportunities.The Academy is being launched in partnership with Starlite Aviation and WorldSkills South Africa, with the support of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The event will feature the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Nomusa Dube-Ncube, as the keynote speaker.
About the Academy
The ETVET Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics Academy has been established to equip students with specialised technical competencies aligned with the aviation industry. The Academy aims to bridge the gap between education and industry by providing practical, industry-responsive training focused on aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, mechanical operations, safety standards, and engineering fundamentals.
The initiative seeks to:
